  • Mohs surgery removes skin cancer one thin layer at a time. Each layer is examined under the microscope while you wait, so we remove only cancerous tissue and spare as much healthy skin as possible. It offers the highest cure rate of any skin cancer treatment, which makes it the gold standard for cancers on the face, ears, scalp, hands, and other visible or sensitive areas.

    Mohs surgery is performed in our office by Dr. Luiz Pantalena, a fellowship-trained Mohs surgeon. It is done under local anesthesia, and the wound is usually repaired the same day. You go home with clear wound-care instructions and a follow-up plan.

    Mohs surgery treats:

    • Basal cell carcinoma

    • Squamous cell carcinoma

    • Recurrent skin cancers

    • Select melanomas and less common skin cancers

    Other surgical procedures:

    We also perform excisions of cysts, lipomas, moles, and other skin growths, along with skin biopsies and standard skin cancer excisions. Procedures take place in our in-office procedure suite with minimal downtime.

  • Cosmetic treatments work best when they're planned by people who know skin inside and out. Every cosmetic treatment at Cardinal Dermatology is performed by our dermatology providers, not a spa technician, in a medical setting. We'll talk through your goals, recommend what will actually help, and tell you honestly what to expect.

    Excel V+ Laser A precise laser that targets redness, broken blood vessels, rosacea, sun spots, and uneven skin tone. Treatments are quick, with little to no downtime, and many patients see clearer, more even skin after a short series.

    Secret RF Microneedling Combines microneedling with radiofrequency energy to stimulate your skin's own collagen. Helps soften fine lines, acne scars, enlarged pores, and rough texture, and can firm mildly loose skin. Downtime is typically only 6-24 hours of redness.

    Neurotoxins (e.g. Botox, Dysport) Relax the muscles that cause frown lines, forehead lines, and crow's feet for a smoother, refreshed look. Appointments take about 10 minutes, and results typically last three to four months.

    Dermal Fillers Restore lost volume in the cheeks and lips and soften smile lines and hollows. Results are immediate and natural-looking, and typically last 6 to 18 months depending on the product and area.

    Skin Tag Removal Quick, simple removal of skin tags and other benign growths that catch on clothing or that you'd rather not see. Usually done in a single short visit.
